Sculptures, Installation Art, and Chairs around the world

During travels in Canada and abroad I have come across some fun and whimsical art sculptures, chairs & installations which I tried to capture in photos. I often wonder how people come up with some of these ideas, but I do hope they are enjoyed by people who visit. These chairs were part of the decor at a restaurant I dined at in Jaipur, India, in 2010. The restaurant catered to tourists and, as I recall, was quite good and not spicy. All the tour guides were fed in a different room.

L - Although not an art installation, ​I thought it was quite fun to see this park full of deck chairs, all for rent on an hourly basis. London, England.​ 2007

R - This life-size chess game is in Amsterdam. ​There was quite a crowd watching. 2010.

​Belgrade, Serbia - Street art is popular in Belgrade and I took these photos during a trip there in 2009. The clay pieces were an installation from the 2008 Belgrade Summer Festival.
And there were several permanent chess tables in a local park, all being used by the local population.

Odense, Denmark, has many sculptures throughout the city, and based on the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen. The  sculpture to the right is The Paper Boat, based on the tale of the Steadfast Tin Soldier, and the one at the far right is one of many scluptures in the Hans Christian Andersen Garden.  Photo 2009.
